Inbox Layout
Below is a quick guide to get you familiar with the new layout of Webmail.

1. Email Toolbar
This bar allows you to refresh
your
emails, compose a new one or control what
you would like to do with your selected
emails. This includes forwarding/replying,
marking and deleting your selected
emails. You can also use
the More button to select
more functions, such as download and
print.
2. Folders
This shows all of the folders on
your
account. The first five are normally your
special folders; these are default folders
that can't be deleted and perform special
actions such as the trash folder being emptied
on specified intervals. The rest are
custom ones set up by you. You can
add/edit folders by using the cog on the
bottom left of the screen. See the Folder section here for
further information regarding
folders.
3. Emails
These are where all your emails
will show
depending on what folder you are in. It
will normally show your inbox by default.
Here, you can use the select tools to
select multiple emails or use the page
navigation. You can also use the Cog icon
to edit the way your emails are ordered/laid
out.
4. Preview
This will show you the email you
have
currently selected. You can double click
the email to view it on the whole page if
you prefer.
5. Email Search
This allows you to search for you
emails
from the current folder you are in, you
can even set up filters by selecting the
down arrow next to the magnifying glass to
narrow or widen the search. More
information can be found in the Searching your mail section here.
6. Other features
These are the other features available on new
webmail; including your calendar, address
book and settings page.
7. Account control
This allows you to either log out
or go
to your My Account area
where you can edit settings relating to
your account.
8. Quota usage
This shows you how much space you
are
using on your account. You can also hover
over this bar to view your quota in actual
size (MB's and GB's) rather than
percentage if you wish.
Your space is determined by your
subscription level. You can view our available packages in your My Account area via the Payment portal.
Composing an email
To compose an email, you can click on the Compose button to get to the compose email page.
See
below if you are not sure
where this
is.

Once here, you can start your email
by adding
the email address you would like to send this
email to. You can enter this in the To field, and
can add a title for the Email in
the Subject field.

To write your email, use the text field found below the Subject box. This comes with various options to change the layout and formatting of the text you write (such as making text bold or italic). There are several options available to you, including adding links and
pictures.
When you have finished your message,
you can
either save for later or send the message. Use
the Send button on the
toolbar at the top to send the email to the Email Address entered in the To field.

Congratulations! You have just sent
your
first email in new webmail!
Add an email Signature
Add an email Signature
Having a signature allows you to attach your signature/sign off automatically to the end of each email you send. To do this, you first need to go to Settings > Identities and select the identity you wish to edit the signature for. Here you should see a box called signature. Enter the content you wish to appear at the end of each email and click save. You can also enable HTML if you wish to add some extra flare.

Make a folder
Adding a folder can be done by either clicking on the Cog icon at the bottom left of the page and then Manage Folders, or by going to Settings > Folders.

Add New Folder
On this page, you can add a new
folder
with the Plus icon at the bottom of
the folder list. It will then bring up the
new folders settings, where you can name the
folder and apply any other settings to it (such as setting a parent folder).

Show/hide Folder
You can hide folders from the
folder list
in your inbox by using the toggles next
to each folder. If you can't find an old
folder, check if it's enabled first!
Delete/empty Folder
To delete a folder, select the
folder and
use the Cog icon at the bottom of
the page and press delete. This
will also delete all of the emails it
contains. You will need to first move the
emails to another folder if you wish to
keep them. If you wish to keep the folder
but not the emails, use empty instead.

Change Mailbox view and interface options
Don't quite like the way your inbox is set up? Or maybe it's just not your favourite colour. Below shows you how to edit these settings to make your webmail experience more personal to you.
Edit inbox layout and sorting
columns
You can access these settings with
the Cog
icon just above your emails.

Here you can change your layout by
selecting
either widescreen, desktop or list.

- Widescreen: This is the
default view with the preview pane on the
right of your email list. This is more
suited for wider computer screens.
- Desktop: This is more in the
spirit of our old webmail which has the
preview pane below your emails.
- List: This removes the
preview pane altogether and your email
list will take up the whole page. You will
need to double click on an email if you
would like to view it.
You can also specify what column you
would
like your emails sorted by. This could be
useful if you would like to view your email
alphabetically or by their size.
Hit save when you are happy
with your
changes.
Interface options
You can change the colour of your
webmail and
the language it uses by clicking on the
computer screen icon near the top right of the
page.

Select your preferred colour as
well as your
preferred language.
This
will update them straight away.
That's more like it!
